Your Shot 2026’s Selection Dates In Denver, Miami, LA, Brooklyn Are Coming Up Quick

Putting on rising star producers and DJs is exactly what we are all about here at Heard It Here First, so when we heard about Your Shot we knew we had to spread the word like wildfire.

Your Shot is back for 2026 and they are giving anyone the opportunity to learn to DJ, with th ultimate goal of the competition to perform a festival set. Whether DJing is something you’ve always wanted to try or you’re already a producer who may not know how to DJ, or anything in between, Your Shot is giving the LA, Miami, NYC and Denver communities the chance at the most transformative DJ competition in the world.

Last year, for the inaugural U.S. edition of Your Shot, the competition drew in over 500 contestants. With the winners performing sets at Elements Music Festival and CRSSD Festival 2026, surely there will be far more DJs entering this year. The four selection dates are coming up very soon, so don’t sleep on this!

First up is Denver on August 22nd, followed by Miami on August 29th. Los Angeles selections take place on September 12th and NY selections September 19th in Brooklyn, venue information down below the sign up link.

As expected, this competition is judged by some serious talent in the electronic dance music sphere.

Leading the pack of heavyweight advisors is LP Giobbi, the founder of Femme House, who’s played festivals around the world, teaming up on stage and in the studio with the likes of Big Gigantic, Chris Lorenzo, and Goose. We really love her Dead-house sets that she often performed at Jam festivals, remixing classic Grateful Dead tunes. She’s released original music on massive record labels like Insomniac Records, Defected and John Summit’s label Higher Ground. Not to mention an official remix for Taylor Swift…

She’ll be joined by Harvey Cohen, President of Live Nation’s Vibee Label. Here’s what LP Giobbi had to say about Your Shot 2026:

Already having changed countless lives across the globe in Australia and New Zealand, Your Shot was first launched over fifteen years ago in 2010. In that time, they’ve built their brand based on a simple concept – creating a space for beginners to learn, grow, and ultimately perform!

Inclusivity and accessibility are their core tenants as Your Shot strives to empower their contestants regardless of background, income, or experience level DJing.

In the next step of their evolution, Your Shot is teaming up with SONY for 2026. They’ll be bringing their best in class ULT POWER SOUND speakers, as well as a partnership and brand new mixers from AlphaTheta for contestants to use.

Full training is provided, but that doesn’t mean you can’t give it a go if you already dabble behind the decks. We need more passion and authentic energy in the dance music world. If you’ve got that and a will for learning, Your Shot 2026 is for you.
