Bitbird founder Sander Van Djick, aka San Holo, is rising to superstardom with every new release his label puts out. Late last night, the dutch producer/DJ/rockstar guitarist released a two sided single pack. One side including “Worthy“, the other including “Lift Me From The Ground” feat. Sofie Winterson.
We had a chance to see San this summer for the first time since Moonrise 2016, when I had the fantastic opportunity to shoot for him. Those pictures from 2016 are all over our page, but his show I saw at Electric Forest really blew me away. San shredded up there with his axe, seamlessly transitioning from live guitar to DJing like the absolute rockstar he is. The DJ played his slew of original hits and standout tracks from Bitbird and as always at EForest, the light show was insane. Check out the two singles from his debut album above and see what San Holo had to say about “worthy” below.
“so excited to share the official music video for “worthy.” “worthy” was one of the first songs that i wrote when i got to LA to start writing the album and it’s stuck with me as one of my favourites up till now. the whole process took a long time but i finally found a way to incorporate my guitar playing into my electronic productions, without it feeling forced or unnatural to me. Most people associate guitars with heavy rock and shredding guitar solos but there’s none of that on the album. I’m much more into sparkly pretty guitar melodies. I hope this new combination of sounds touches you like it touched me 😊!”
