HIHF Playlists: Ari’s Best of October 2018

October was a pretty great month for music, we got albums from some of my favorite artists of the past few years. With electronic releases from K?d, Rüfüs Dü Sol, The Chainsmokers, Louis The Child, and a ton more, and massive hip-hop albums from Future & Juice WRLD, Lil Baby & Gunna, Sheck Wes, and Quavo, from the Migo Gang.

Oh, don’t let me forget Greta Van Fleet‘s epic new album. I was surprised when this catalog of rock ballads ended up competing with Rüfüs Dü Sol’s Solace for personal album of the month. Pitchfork rated GVF’s new album a 1.6 out of 10. Fuck you Pitchfork, you fools.

Because this blog mostly centers around electronic music, I like sprinkling in a little more rock and Hip Hop/R&B into our monthly playlists. I added a couple feel-good new singles from The Lumineers and Mumford and Sons as well as the new Daniel Caesar single, the new Billie Eilish single, and a couple tracks from the 88Rising‘s frontman Joji‘s album. Enjoy the 40 track playlist below. Throw it on shuffle for sure, and thanks for listening as always!!
