Heard It Here First

While November brought us projects from some of the most gifted wordsmiths in Hip-Hop Music, December contrasts that with a plethora of mumble rap anthems and horns-fueled trap bangers. Nothing wrong with a little turn-up music, right? Or a lot of it.

December’s playlist highlights some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop/Rap displaying their ability to crank out catchy street smash hits. The thirty track playlists include rappers like Rich The Kid, 21 Savage, Kodak Black, Juice WRLD and many more. One surprising standout was Roddy Rich’s highly anticipated collab with the masked man Marshmello. “Project Dreams” and Roddy Rich are definitely on the rise.

The playlist is also sprinkled in with a little bit of Pop music, adding Ariana Grande’s new single as well as Drake and Post Malone cuts from the past month. Another amazing Pop track from December was Slushii’s remix take of Steve Aoki & BTS’ smash collab “Waste It On Me“.

In terms of Electronic music, there were tons of releases in December. Some of our highlights were “Like That“, NGHTMRE’s collab with Big G, “Sorbet Guts” from Krane & Alexander Lewis, and Eptic’s Remix of RL Grime’s track “Era“. We also got epic remixes of “Sicko Mode” and “Without You“, two of the biggest songs in the country, from Skrillex and Illenium respectively.
