Heard It Here First’s best of the month playlist is finally here! January was very good to EDM fans. We got new tracks from established names we haven’t seen new music from in a while: Zeds DeadJai Wolf, Griz, What So Not and many more.

We also got massively fan-craved releases such as Alison Wonderland and Dillon Francis’ highly anticipated collab as well as Gammer’s remix of Cranberries classic “Zombie“. K?d also gifted his fans his “Find Paradise (Show Edit)” which he opened with during his 2018 tour.

Liquid Stranger’s new track really stood out. He has a new album coming out in the next few months that’s slated to have thirty tracks.

New names we haven’t covered much in the past that made this months’ list include sfam, KLOUD, 13, LIONE, MIZE, and SAINT PUNK. These DJ’s sure do love their all-caps, don’t they?

J. Cole may have already dropped the best Hip Hop record of the year and yes I know it’s only January. I already have sixty listens of “Middle Child” under my belt, I think it’s been out four days. Safe to say I’m a fan of the new song. Can’t wait to see what’s next from Cole and his upcoming Revenge of the Dreamers 3 project, which had fellow rappers J.I.D, Schoolboy Q, and tons of Dreamville labelmates collaborating on songwriting for a week straight.

This playlist is pretty light on the rap, but what it lacks in bars it makes up for with some groovy new House music. I’m normally not a huge House head, but January’s Best of the Month includes loads of bouncy four-on-the-floor tracks from the likes of Dombresky, Win & Woo, Matroda, The Aston Shuffle, and Fabich.

Below is the forty track playlist of our favorite releases of the month. Scroll through and let us know what you think. Thanks for listening!
