Notion did it again and brought Chicago another top-shelf Bass event with this year’s Lunar Tide Music and Arts Festival. Beloved DJs, VJs, and Live/Performance artists turned the Riverside Complex into a living, breathing, art exhibit. Hennessy sound systems provided fully dialed in bass weight at all three stages.
The Slugwife crew, featuring Kursa, Seppa, and K.L.O. (pictured above), gave us a proper takeover at the Lunar stage accompanied by the don of visuals, Steven Haman. Coming directly from otherworldly performances at Tipper’s curated camping event Tipper and Friends, at the Spirit of Suwannee music park in Suwannee, Florida, Haman was fully warmed up and ready to transform the lunar stage. Andrew Zeuske, Zpacetree, and Andres Acosta provided support on visuals on all stages. Our friends at Notion did not skimp on lighting/visuals. With incredible performances from The Widdler, Bukez Finezt, Prophet, Moody Good, Tsuruda, and of course, the Slugwife crew, it’s hard to imagine that Lunar Tide won’t be an annual throwdown for the Chi!
Us here over at HIHF were blessed to be a part of the festival’s media team and it’s our pleasure to share this experience with you! Enjoy our exclusive recap video below.
