Drawing from two separate but distinctive spheres of influence on a collision course for the ages, Doctor P and Franky Nuts have come together to make an iconic, late-to-the-party summer jam in “Give It Up” that may just last until the warm months of the forthcoming year.
Established bass master and Circus Records label head Doctor P continues to extend his innovative, methodological teachings to up-and-comers, such as his past two singles – “Overheat” and “Something to Believe In’ – supporting the rising CRaymak.
Franky Nuts, however, brings his own sound to the table with pseudo-pop-traditionalist vibes shining through in his hook-oriented composition style. The young up and comer has already received support from other industry big shots like Bassnectar, Modestep, and Delta Heavy just to name a few.
The complementary form of these two artists and their competing elements creates a nostalgically vibrant track with its 8-bit style building riffs and lumbering drops. The lyrical verses of “Give It Up” lend itself nicely to its variant accessibility, and this will circulate through DJ sets for the rest of the year proving that festival bangers don’t need the summer season to hit it big time.
Who will Doctor P take under his wing next? We’re looking forward to future collaborations and the continual rise of Franky Nuts! Check out “Give It Up” on all streaming platforms now!
