In the last decade, Audien has made a name for himself as an acclaimed producer, performer, and artist. While his earlier years featured a number of progressive, individual releases, he solidified his presence as a household name in electronic music with a Grammy-nominated remix of alt-pop outfit Bastille’s mega-hit “Pompeii” in 2015. In the same year, he scored a record deal with Astralwerks and cracked both dance and pop charts alike with impressive releases including “Insomnia” and “Something Better,” the latter receiving support from contemporary country group Lady Antebellum.
Since this advent year for Audien, he has consistently honed his multi-genre craft throughout a three-year creative period culminating in the release of his highly anticipated LP ESCAPISM. Seemingly dissatisfied with his debut on the Billboard Top 40, Audien has masterfully woven in sounds across a multitude of spheres of influence for a release littered with radio potential and supported by impressive guest vocal performances throughout.
ESCAPISM has something for everyone: the polished, glittery synths of “Favorite Sound (with Echosmith),” the percussive, energetic instrumental piece “Dreams (with Axis),” the mellow, lo-fi foundation of “Sleep Paralysis (with Cignature),” or the true epitome of escapism in the wistful piano melody on “Something Greater Interlude (with Cerulean).”
Catch Audien on his first-ever headlining tour in support of his debut LP beginning November 15th. Let us know which track you like best in the comments! Tour dates below.
