Heard It Here First

Porter Robinson has released “Something Comforting”. This is the second release from his upcoming album Nurture. This project’s first release came just over a month ago titled “Get Your Wish” and, in a similar fashion this song has been accompanied with an anecdote from Porter explaining his creative struggle and how the song came about:

“Something Comforting”  is an exploration into the mental health and the creative process of Porter. We learned from this video that at least parts of this album have been in process for 5 years, and that Porter has been developing new song writing techniques in order to finish these works. I felt a nostalgic numbness in my stomach that brought me right back to the times I have seen Worlds live and couldn’t keep a smile off my face listening to the instrumental hook mentioned above that begin the Nurture album.

Nurture continues to remain mysterious project with little known at this point despite increasing excitement from other artists including, Madeon, Jai Wolf, Blanke, and many more who have been taking to social media to praise the new music from Porter.

I think Miracle and Something Comforting are kind of sister songs in the way that we both obsessed over them for years trying to figure them out.
In the end our growth is what unlocked it.
