Maryland local Nathan Cromer has honed his craft through the grassroots electronic scene for over five years now. The producer/DJ known as Sanith got his start earnestly – spinning remixes of high profile artists such as GalantisThe Chainsmokers, and Great Good Fine Ok on his Soundcloud.

His debut EP titled Weeping Willow flexes a versatile, unrestrained production that draws influence from various genres: dubstep, trap, trance, and indie. Since then, Sanith has maintained an excellent blend of original tunes and impressive flips of huge hits.

While gaining traction on Soundcloud through remixes of popular songs by Post MaloneHalseyRL Grime, and other heavy hitters, Sanith has perhaps stated his originality most firmly in his approach to alternative music – fearlessly flipping Nickelback and Linkin Park alongside popular contemporaries.

Dropping his first full-length release Sonder a little over a year ago, Sanith has only gotten busier with numerous singles and a handful of Soundcloud mixes to boot. His latest single, “The Path,” only furthers the rising DJ’s path of versatility and earnest.

Self-described as tribal trap, “The Path” opens into a sphere of glittering psychedelia granting over-exposure to the persistent trap beat anchoring the track. These tones are exchanged for deep, explosive bass throughout the tune’s hook while still giving way to spritely, synth whispers that float above the instrumentals otherwise.

It is these soft, breathy sounds that serve as the minutia of the piece: joining the soft-spoken, melodic verses with massive hooks through subtle constancy.

Sanith himself released a statement on the “The Path” saying:

“I’ve been going through a lot of mental changes lately; Changes in perspective, how I view the world, what’s important to me. I made this song trying to do something a little more out of my comfort zone to reflect all of those changes. I hope you enjoy!”
