Experimental bass producers Kizer and KADENA are providing a collision course for their brand new collab. Out now through the booming Wubaholics label, we are ecstatic to help premiere this brand new heater from the two quickly rising up and comers.

Kizer is a Denver producer who is heavily inspired by the likes of Noisia, CHEE, Ivy Lab and more. Today, he’s teaming up with KADENA, a North Carolina bass veteran of Wubaholics and another unique, experimental talent. KADENA has appeared on labels like Ganja White Night‘s SubCarbon, Partica, Sub.Terrenian and loads more. The two acts are coming together today and the results are absurd!

Their new collaboration, “1 6 6”, is a deep dive into the production prowess of Kizer and KADENA. Check out what KADENA had to say about their new filthy collaboration, out now through Wubaholics, below.

“Kizer originally sent me 1 6 6 as a 16 bar loop! We had been talking about starting a collab for some time and something about the loop really resonated with me.

Kizer has this way of making basses that really feel alive, like they’re their own entity and I really felt that way about the wip he sent over.

I arranged it out into a full track and sent it back over, and we went through a few different versions, and a few broken project files where we lost sounds and had to make new ones before we finally settled on the one you’re hearing now!

When I listen to the final track, I hear myself and Kizer in every moment of the song, it feels like a co-op gun fight between our two sounds, one moment feeling very Kizer and the other very Kadena, it’s truly one one of the most unique tracks I’ve ever written.

Shout out to Kizer for this one and shout out Wubaholics and HIHF for the release!” – KADENA
