Many artists try to explain their music in the context of other genres and styles. Marylanders Zingara, Notorious Nick, and ROYALFLU$H create their own genres. Do not put these artists in a box, because they will break it open and let Pandora out. Their self-proclaimed Astral Trap sub-genre aims to explore manifestation while still keeping the roots of Trap, Bass, and Chillstep alive and well.
Confronting challenging topics like intentionality, happiness, and creating the mind space we want instead of just letting the world create it for us, “The 12th Destiny”’s sampling and sound design effectively put the listener in that exact state of self-discovery.
The melody throws everything from trombone and tuba to pan flute and steady bass together to force listeners to come face to face with unconventional sounds that one may say don’t belong together… until they do. Never yuck someone else’s yum before you try it!
I recently read that “adventures only happen to the adventurous”. If you don’t put yourself in situations to explore your mind, new sounds, and the world around you, you may never find paradise – even accidentally. This track certainly helps us get there with its vibrant and unique soundscape.
