1788-L broke onto the scene in 2018 and has been unleashing face-melting, glitch-fueled, midtempo bangers since. Today, the enigmatic producer is returning to Zeds Dead‘s Deadbeats label. The dubstep and bass hub has been the home to tons of talented names throughout the industry like Eprom, CHEE, GG Magree, Blanke, and loads more.
On his new PARALLEL:S EP, 1788 brings us two infectious new bangers. The first track, “Human Machine”, brings midtempo meets electro vibes. It’s a heavier tune, which has come to be expected from 1788-L, and utilizes live drums and electric guitar.
Next is “Automaton”. This second track honestly sounds like it’s by Daft Punk and transports you to an intergalactic concert setting. Thrilling and uplifting beats, vocoderized lyrics, and that certain feel-good sound literally had me throwing on Random Access Memories, Daft Punk’s final album, immediately after.
This new EP is a testament to the mysterious artist’s growth and evolution as a musician. Both of these tunes are a stellar addition to 1788-L’s growing artillery of heaters.
