Heard It Here First

It is always a good day when two legends come together for their first original project, much less two Wakaan stars. That is exactly what we received today from Champagne Drip and G-REX.

Both artists have been busy this year already, with music and show announcements aplenty. Champagne Drip has dropped two beautiful remixes and was announced as one of the main headliners for Bass Canyon in August.

G-REX on the other hand is still buzzing from his Dion Timmer collab and infamous Summoning Mix installment. Fresh off a massive show in Michigan with Liquid Stranger and more, he just got added to an insane Halloween event including Svdden Death, Tsuruda, Chee, and other talented artists.

“Cold Case” was started back on the Infinity tour in 2019 and since then both artists have been crowd testing it and tweaking the final arrangements. So it’s only fitting that the track is released with Wakaan as well. The wait was well worth it though, as the final concept is a pure masterpiece. Featuring G-REX’s standard trap openings and crisp vocals, this song is a one-way ticket to Wub town. The drop features such smooth flow, while still bringing the heavy bass we both want and need.
