Hailing from Canada, Matt Doe has made quite the impression on the bass scene with his eccentric sound. He has proven to be a musical prodigy and has mastered his skills behind the decks, which you can witness during his booming sets. Matt Doe has consistently released efforts through colossal labels such as Subcarbon, Subsidia, Bassrush, Dim Mak, Underdog Records, and DSV Audio. GAWM produces tunes that fall under the heavy Trap and Dub style of electronic music. He has consistently released tracks since 2018 and has garnered the recognition of established artists to include ATLiens, Excision, and Dirty Audio that has landed him releases on massive labels such as Bassrush, Barong Family, and Subsidia. GAWM is an up-and-coming producer that certainly should not be overlooked.
Today, Matt Doe and GAWM are colliding to serve fans with their smash-to-be “Pop Dat” via Bassrush Records. The two artists have proven to be an electric duo, blending their individual styles cohesively to create a headbanger’s anthem. The single has clear Hip Hop and Trap influence that brings the heat this summer.
Here’s what Matt Doe had to say about the new collab:
“GAWM & I have been wanting to collaborate for some time now. When I first reached out to him, he sent me the first idea he had which included the dope pluck melody you can hear in the track. I honestly snapped because I thought this was super unique and I really digged the dark theme to it. Overall, this track was meant to be something that sounded completely new all while merging our “fat” signature basses together and I think we definitely succeeded!”
