Immerse yourself in a daydream wandering down the west coast with your people as the wind brushes through the breaks of your fingertips. Sunbeams trickle over the mountaintops as you exhale all your anxieties. Melodic soundwaves blast through your speakers and tickle the eardrum. Surroundings of euphoric bliss have enhanced every inch of your body. There is no place you’d rather be.
This is the escapism Cole Jackson formulates with his projected originality. The venture of Cole Jackson commenced amongst one of the most paramount times in future bass and trap history. SoundCloud was the initial hub for the hottest future bass anthems and trap remixes. It was an imminent empire of electronic music, and that was where we found our adoration for Cole Jackson.
Cole Jackson initially struck the scene in 2016 through his vibrant remix of Lucian’s “Down The Middle” with trap sensation Quiet Bison. Shortly after, he followed up with a variety of next-level remixes, such as Billie Eilish’s “Watch” and A$AP Rocky’s “Fukk Sleep”. Waves of triumphs for Cole Jackson’s novelty were not stopped. He then unleashed his animated remix of BØRNS’ “Electric Love”, ultimately amplifying his career onto the next parallel.
As the hype surrounding Cole Jackson consistently progressed year after year, we then went into a nationwide lockdown due to Covid-19. This didn’t stop the producer, as he went on to drop his very first single, “See You On The Other Side” through Electric Hawk Records compilation album, “Rebirth“. He followed up the release with his debut virtual performance at Electric Hawk’s Harmony Virtual Music Festival, exemplifying that he is here for the long haul.
Fast forward to this year, where Jackson teased a four-track mixtape of solid gems exclusively found on SoundCloud and Audius. He’s given us remixes, he’s given us a compilation single and live set, he even gave us a mixtape. Today, we finally get to hear the evolution of Cole Jackson through his first original effort.
And now, the moment we’ve sincerely been waiting for: Cole Jackson self-releases his official debut single, “Go” featuring Claire Dejean.
This single is everything we’ve wanted and more. The producer stays true to his roots but expands his horizons through his immaculate sound design. Melodic keys of piano kick-start the track and fill the atmosphere with ecstatic emotions and exciting spirits. Balancing vocals from Claire Dejean polish the tone presented by the artists, installing the overall message they envisioned.
Jackson went to Twitter to unveil some thoughts on this project:
‘Go’ w/ Claire DeJean is out tonight at EST midnight and I could not be more happy. I wrote the song while road tripping down the west coast and immediately got in touch with Claire once I got back. We recorded it in less than 2 hours and are both so stoked to drop this #go 🌻
