Eric Seall, better known by his stage name Ace Aura, is continuously rising in the prominent ranks of producers we must keep tabs on. He has officially launched the Gem World EP, marking his debut on Never Say Die Records. Although being on a highly reputable indie label, Seall’s project is currently the number one dubstep release on Beatport. Along with this project, Ace Aura continues his streak of releases following his recent collaboration, “The Feeling”, with Crankdat
Here’s what Ace Aura had to say about his latest NSD assisted EP:
“The writing process of Gem World was a very freeing experience. I previously felt like I was stuck making the same types of songs over and over and lost motivation to make music as a result. When I allowed myself to experiment and try out new styles and techniques, I rediscovered that enjoyment I thought I had lost forever.” – Ace Aura
The Texas-based producer showcases his individuality and colorized bass soundscapes on the four melodic dubstep tracks that are featured. Listeners were given a sneak peek of the EP when Ace Aura performed with Nytrix to debut “Shattered” at the Hollywood Palladium.
He has been labeled as a pioneer of the melodic/future riddim genre of dubstep, alongside Chime, Oolacile, and Au5, and has gained support from names like NGHTMRE, SLANDER, Zomboy, Flux Pavilion, and many more, even collaborating with breakout dubstep star Subtronics earlier this year. As he travels the country, be sure to see him at Electric Zoo and SLANDER’s Starbase Festival in these upcoming months.
