Imanu is one of the most exciting new names in dance music. The Netherlands-based artist just released his masterpiece of an album, Unfold, through Deadbeats and is even hosting a celebration at the Amsterdam Dance Event alongside What So Not, The Caracal Project, and other heavy hitters.

Nikki Nair started out by throwing raves in Nashville, TN and is well-known for the wide range of stylings that he produces. Equally as impressive are his immeasurable DJing skills, throwing down some of the most dynamic and flexible sets in the dance music world.

The two production maestros are heading to D.C.’s Club Flash, home to a Funktion One sound system, with the help of Para Presents, The Gradient Perspective and Closed Sessions. These D.C. collectives have brought some insane acts to Flash, like Kursa, Resonant Language, VCTRE, Khiva, Mythm, and more in the past and now they are adding two of the hottest in the game to that list. It’s safe to say bass fans across the nation’s capital are insanely grateful to these companies.

On support duties for the night are Inspect3r, G-Type Star, and Ramblur, one of the heads of Para Presents who will be warming up Flash’s main room in honor of an exciting new chapter for the DC-based promotion company. In an effort to highlight and elevate underground talent across America, Para Presents is launching a label in conjunction with their event series.

We had a second to sit down with Carter Holland, founder of Para Presents, who mentioned how he grew up going to shows around the DMV his whole life. “It’s been incredible having an impact on our corner of the scene and watching it grow by throwing these shows at Flash. Being able to continue doing so by supporting these extremely talented local producers through a label seemed like the obvious next step for Para.”

To ring in this new epoch, Para will be taking over the Flash rooftop on 10/26 for a “Paranormal Sounds Takeover”, featuring artists who will be on their inaugural release, Paranormal Sounds Vol. 1 (a various artist compilation), dropping this Halloween!
