Bass house pioneer, AC Slater, presents fans with an infectious third studio album, Together, released through his renowned Night Bass label. This nine-track LP offers an array of vocally-driven house tracks that ingrain elements of funk, bass, and grime, holding true to the collaborative nature that comprises Together.

Iconic collaborations have fueled AC Slater’s hot streak throughout the past year, impressively carrying his career to new heights. The Los Angeles-based producer embarked on his sold out North American Confessions VS Night Bass tour alongside Tchami in 2022, bringing their contagious beats across ten major cities. Building upon this momentum, AC Slater and Chris Lorenzo brought their “Fly With Us” collaborative performances to hundreds of thousands of fans at EDC Las Vegas and the Shrine in Los Angeles. Only halfway through 2023, AC Slater has already dominated Red Rocks Amphitheater, Lollapalooza, Coachella, and more legendary stages across the globe.

Just in time for summer, AC Slater introduces the Together LP, an album containing groovy bass house essentials that build upon his pre-existing legacy. With this installation, notable collaborators from Slater’s past, as well as Night Bass newcomers, fuse their sounds together to create this wholesome body of work.

Opening with “Until The Morning” with Jay Robinson, this invigorating intro track nods to AC Slater’s bass house supremacy, interweaving waning bass undertones with an intoxicating 130 bpm foundation. This danceable tune is the second single released ahead of the LP and wields an uplifting energy that sets the tone for the succeeding tracks.

Following this,“Night Rider” featuring Scruffizer, merges elements of UK grime with Slater’s cinematic crescendos, dominantly demonstrating why this collaboration was the ideal lead single for the Together album. Fans may recall Scruffizer’s distinctive rap prowess from his feature on Night Bass release, “One Three Nine” with Zeds Dead.

Chris Lorenzo joins the mix for “I Believe”, an irresistible, funk-infused banger that nods to the magic that is made when the two powerhouses join forces. Detailed by groovy vocal chops, laser FX, and unique synth work, this four-on-the-floor jam further proves the undeniable synergy that Lorenzo and Slater have harnessed in their collaborations.

Adding more sonic variety to the Together LP, Devyn Sawyer takes the reins alongside AC Slater in “On The Road”. This pop-oriented festival anthem starts off full-throttle, with Sawyer’s saucy vocal finesse dancing upon Slater’s upbeat melodies throughout. “On The Road” pairs well with one of its succeeding tracks, “All Of My Love” with MPH and Kate Wild, for the similar infectious pop flair that they offer the album. MPH is sure to up the ante in this track, as Wild’s tempting tones keep listeners on their feet.

Halfway through the project, “Can U Handle It” featuring Shift K3Y and Kelli-Leigh continues to build upon the vocally-charged funky vibes. Fans may recall Kelli-Leigh’s high-powered vocals from her projects with Sub Focus and James Hype, and Slater and Shift K3Y do a phenomenal job at providing an ideal foundation for her harmonies to fly. “Can U Handle It” penetrates the dance floor by blending rhythmic guitar riffs over a bouncy house tune, with Kelly-Leigh’s vocals acting as the guiding force.

Kaleena Zanders blesses the Together LP with not one but two features: “Blue June” and “Lose My Mind” alongside NuBass. Zanders famously made her mark on Slater’s 2019 Hi8 album with “Final Fantasy”, which timelessly remains a consecrated smash-hit within AC Slater’s discography. Her good-vibes-inducing vocals never fail to add the vivacious verve that turn any track into a house-head essential. With “Lose My Mind” relying on laser and siren FX atop a bass-infused substructure and “Blue June” infusing key work with lively harmonies, these two tracks beautifully juxtapose Kaleena’s sonic versatility.

“Screenshots,” featuring Badger and Murkage Dave, closes out Together, offering a feel-good, vocally-oriented housetronica tune that is made for those summertime drives with the windows down. Murkage Dave supplies alluring vocals promising “good things will come”, while Slater and Badger curate an airy bass line to carry it. Sonically diverging from the preceding tracks on the album, “Screenshots” perfectly encapsulates the sentiment behind Together and wraps the album up on a positive note.

Here is what AC Slater had to say about the full Together LP:

“The idea of “Together” is nothing new to me. Strength in numbers has always been important in my life. Anyone who knows me knows my motto: ‘I just want to do cool sh*t with cool people.’ The feeling of sharing a journey together with people you love is unlike anything else. Building something TOGETHER. I have always been an extremely shy person from a very young age, and even up to now. It was something that stood in my way, but I am able to overcome with the feeling of love and support from the people around me.

I don’t do any of this by myself. I have a small circle of close friends around me who support me, and I support them. I love to give back to the next generation of DJs. Someone paved the way for us, and we’re paving the way for someone else. I think it’s important to teach them to support the ones after them. Being a musical artist isn’t about me, it’s about building a musical family and making everyone around us know that they are a part of something together.”  AC Slater

AC Slater’s Together LP is an ode to collaborators past and present, solidifying itself as another prestigious staple in the king of bass house’s impressive discography. AC Slater will embark on his subsequent tour this summer, which will offer a hybrid DJ set complete with guest vocalists and awe-inspiring visuals.
