Heard It Here First

Rising bass producer Ian Snow is ready to make an impact through his music, captivating listeners and creating songs that extend beyond the meanings that may be heard on the surface. So far, he has captured the attention of labels like WAKAAN, Bassrush, and Wubaholics with his sounds, and is ready to continue to take the scene by storm in 2024. He plans to do this by releasing tracks each month, starting today with “Hyper Sequence” off his forthcoming EP.

The recent release is almost nostalgic, with a powerful message that inspired Ian Snow to tap into deeper places in his consciousness. “Hyper Sequence” represents the duality of life and death, and a reminder to cherish the moments we are living in now. Here’s what he had to say about “Hyper Sequence:”

 I struggle with writing about my music sometimes because a lot of my songs don’t have a message. Or rather, the message is that the music is simply an emanation of myself. However, Hyper Sequence is different. When I stumbled across a video of this poem, it gave me chills. I’d never heard death/loss discussed so eloquently in an art form before. I knew I wanted to create something around it. After listening through more, though, I realized that it’s also very much about life. It’s about taking advantage of spending time and cherishing the memories made with the ones you love because it can all be over too soon – IAN SNOW

Through heavier sonic frequencies, blended seamlessly into more emotional sounds, the track reminds listeners to slow down and enjoy the present moments. On top of the music, there is also a visual aspect via creator Digital Kontrol, which really adds to the layers of the project and creates more depth in its meaning. Ian Snow is set to have a bright future, so keep up to date on what’s to come, especially the new EP!
