Feel the vibrations of the mystical Redrum, as she exhibits deep bass control in “Colors”, her newest single released through WAKAAN.

Spinning her haunting frequencies nationwide, Portland-based Tatiana Tindall has been a trailblazing force in the world of bass under her Stephen King-inspired alias, Redrum. In February 2022, the young producer made her initial debut on Liquid Stranger‘s WAKAAN label with her Chaos Theory EP, led by her bass-heavy single, “Idiosyncrasy”.

After proving her undeniable sonic range, Redrum took her rightful place on Liquid Stranger’s epic Balance tour alongside WAKAAN staples, Canabliss, VEIL, and LUZCID. Her prosperous touring streak continued with a bountiful season of festival slots at Electric Zoo, Hard Summer Music Festival, and Wakaan Music Festival.

For Redrum’s first release of 2023, she dropped “Breathe” on the SSKWAN Synergy compilation album. The track found a perfect home within the downtempo-oriented project, allowing Tatiana to showcase her psychedelic, synth-saturated tendencies.

With a perfectly set stage, Redrum now presents fans with her newest single, “Colors”, a dark aural journey that utilizes deep bass to instill colorful synesthesia within its listeners. This is the first single off of her upcoming EP, Butterfly Effect.

“Colors” opens with a slow introduction of twinkling synths and airy, sweeping FX, setting an eerie tone. Redrum divides the ambiance into two dominant verses of revving bass that nod to her signature grit. As Redrum expands her catalog, fans can actively hear her sonic palette developing these complexities that promise a fruitful year of releases. Here’s what she had to say about the new EP:

“‘Colors’ was inspired by the deep dubstep sound from the mid 2000’s – 2010’s that got me into bass music so many years ago. I wanted to put my spin on that style and fuse nostalgic sounds with modern production techniques.” – Redrum
