Venues beware, UK-native and legendary dubstep artist, Conrank, crafted a new sonic grenade primed and ready for the dancefloor, “F— Off” released through Circus Records. Conrank has firmly grasped his industry title as one of the most heavy-hitting bass producers in the scene since the early stages of his career. The infamous boundary-pushing producer first entered the space, performing as a professional beatboxer in the early UK grime scene until settling down in Shanghai, where he quickly became known as one of the most industrious producers in the game.

Since his 2010 debut DJ performance at London’s Secret Garden Party, Conrank has carved his name in dubstep record books through his heart-pounding performances and iconic releases through powerhouse labels like Bassrush, UKF, and Waakan. All leading us to today, where the dance music world is graced with his grimy first solo project of the year, “F— Off”.  

Conrank sets the stage for “F— Off”’s genre-defying odyssey by opening the track with an infectiously rhythmic house lead hurtling us towards his vigorous crescendo ignited by his vocals declaring “F— off”. As his words dissipate, listeners find themselves in a minefield of varying frequencies of frog reverb accompanied by sub-rattling stuttering bass. The only relief from the explosion of neck-breaking sound design comes in the form of the intro’s ear-pleasing melody, preparing us for another round of diabolical percussion. The following climax takes us a step deeper into Conrank’s layered production, incorporating a thick composition filled with taser bass and a diverse wheelhouse of dubstep soundplay. “F— Off” pulls out all the stops to signify Conrank’s first release of the year. We can’t wait to hear this track dropped live.

“When I made this track it was one of those days that tests every nerve in your body. I went Into the studio ready to wage war, something grimey and raw. After I made the first drop I couldn’t think of anything more fitting to that time and place and feeling, there was nothing else to do but scream fuck off into the mic. A banger was born.” – Conrank
