Heard It Here First

Florida local, LAUKX, (formerly known as Phylo) has been hard at work in the Jacksonville scene with a handful of experimental, emotive, and dubstep-leaning electronic tracks. Working with crews like Fractalliance, Wub Tub, and many more, this tastemaker is ready to shine and continue spreading his unique sounds all over. While he only has a small selection of releases so far, each one highlights different sides of his production skills, as well as evokes different emotions through each one.

LAUKX’s latest release, “One Night”  weaves in hypnotic vocal samples that pull listeners in deeper and add to the ability to get lost in the array of smooth, butter-like elements found within. The track really grabs your attention from the moment it begins, from those vocals to the deep, vibey melody. Here’s what he had to say about “One Night:”

I really wanted to have something that brought a heavy bass to something emotional. I wrote this track while accepting a lot of inner change and wanted to channel that to my music – LAUKX

From those late-night festival vibes to cruising through a city after midnight, getting lost in its many lights, “One Night” is a stunner from start to finish. Finding a track that can transport you to so many different places in your mind, and have them all fit perfectly, really makes for something special. That’s exactly what LUAKX has done with this release.

There is a lot of talent coming out of that side of the state, and it sounds like LAUKX is certainly on his way to joining an incredible group of tastemakers.
