Heard It Here First

Up-and-coming bass duo critical h!t, made up of Yoko and Skinny Limbs, recently released a mix for Pride Month via Street Ritual that underground dubstep fans will absolutely love. Yoko and Skinny Limbs both draw influence from Denver’s thriving sound system culture, and their different styles of bass music complement each other so well. The two have already played at huge venues in Denver like Red Rocks, and have both individually had big releases through labels like Wakaan, Odyzey, MorFlo, and Aspire Higher.

We also hosted Yoko for a guest mix she did last spring 2023, it was one of our favorite guest mixes of the year and we love seeing her win! The close friends and collaborators wrote two tracks specifically for this mix, and the mix was already packed with unreleased IDs. critical H!t also features music from other rising bass artists like asau, Rohaan, tsou, and tons more in this super-fun Pride mix.

“Street Ritual was our first label release as collaborators before we named the side project, and we love working with the team as a whole! when they asked us for a Pride mix, we were very excited and inspired to curate a collection of music that would give off the high energy that we love to produce ourselves. Our main focus was to showcase something that would ignite dance floors and get people moving; it’s what we would play if we were hosting our own Pride celebration show” – Critical H!t
