Festival Season 2024 is heating up and it’s time to turn our attention to one of our favorite events of the year: Sound Haven. Now in its sixth year since inception, Sound Haven continues to show why they are a true champion of the underground, providing attendees with a mesmerizing experience centered around sound, art and community.
Located about 30 minutes northwest of Chattanooga, TN, Sound Haven is gearing up for its biggest event to date. The festival is making its return to the Jaceland campgrounds for the third time in four years, increasing the hype for past patrons as well as newcomers that have heard the stories about this magical patch of land.
One thing is for certain: the power of community continues to be the difference in allowing these types of events to continue. Sound Haven has grown year after year, and a big reason for that is communities are teaming up to take things to new heights. The main organizers, Sacred Hive, truly have the people in mind when curating Sound Haven. Partnering with groups like Kouch Kollective and Wobble Factory only increase the longevity of this event.
Let’s dive into some highlights to see what attendees can expect at this year’s celebration of the underground bass scene.
Beautiful Curation, Zero Scheduling Conflicts
This year’s main headliner is Of The Trees! He’s been on an absolute tear over the last couple of years and we know he’s going to provide some insane heat when he steps up to the UFO main stage. The next tier of headliners are fan-favorites Daily Bread, Mickman, as well as a Vault Set from the legend, EPROM.
Continuing down the list are some serious heavy hitters that will surely have crowds in a frenzy. This includes Distinct Motive, Chef Boyarbeatz, Black Carl!, Resonant Language, Joker, and a special b2b between Kursa and Copycatt. We cannot wait to see these acts, and many other incredible artists, grace the UFO and Planetary stages again.
The last two tiers of artists are some of our favorite up-and-comers. There are plenty of talented artists to check out, such as crawdad sniper, pheel., ASHEZ, Hypho, OkayJake, Curra and Torcha. We also see an influx of smaller names getting their chance to shine. A few names that stand out are Athena, Liquid L, Sling Wave, YATES! and Togeki.
One thing that sets Sound Haven apart from a lot of festivals is the fact that there are ZERO set conflicts and ZERO sound ordinances. This means that, from 12:00pm all the way until sunrise the next morning, incredible music will be playing at max volume. Sound Haven attendees don’t realize how good they have it this year with this lineup!
A Massive Lineup Calls For Massive Sound
Sound Haven’s dedication to providing world-class sound is a major reason why the festival is enjoyed by so many. This year, Sound Haven is bringing back some fan-favorite deployments as well as upgrading the Kouch Kollective daytime stage.
At the UFO main stage, the Funktion-One Vero system returns to Jaceland’s amphitheater to create a sonically-encapsulating experience with its premier audio quality. At the late-night Planetary Stage, dubstep heads are rejoicing as the core-shattering Element 5 system makes its triumphant return. Hearing this system at full volume at last year’s event had me feeling like I was in a 5 Gum commercial – that system knows how to stimulate the senses. Lastly, the daytime stage will be upgraded with a Hennessey Sound Design deployment, providing rich sound to kick off each day.
**PLEASE NOTE** When experiencing these incredible sound systems, it is crucial that you have proper hearing protection. When Sound Haven says full volume, they really mean it! Make sure you and your festival crew bring a good pair of ear plugs!

Mind-Bending Production & An Emphasis On Art
For the last two years, Sound Haven’s UFO Stage has left attendees speechless with its production. Many artists that have had the pleasure of playing the main stage will tell you they never thought they’d be playing their music to a crowd of people from a flying saucer. When you add a roster of brilliant VJs and visual artists, the UFO turns into an iconic structure that you truly need to see to believe. A big shoutout to the team at Antic Studios for providing this brilliant piece of stage production for the third year in a row.

The late-night Planetary stage also boasts some stunning production. While many are starstruck from the powerful Element 5 system, there’s an equally dazzling display of lasers, stunning visuals, and even tightrope walkers above the crowd!
Sound Haven has also upgraded the lights and art installations throughout the Jaceland grounds year after year, bringing the entire area to life for festival goers. Not only will there be giant murals and live painters, but several vendors will also be selling their art, jewelry and more! Definitely take some time throughout your weekend to check out what they’ve made; it feels amazing to be surrounded by so many creative individuals.
