One of our favorite intimate, community-driven events is returning to Northeast Maryland in two weeks: Autumn Revival Music & Arts Festival! We are so excited to head back to Camp Ramblewood in Darlington, MD for this Fall celebration of community, music, art and learning. The teams behind Autumn Revival — Good Productions (Baltimore, MD), Rhythm City Collective (Richmond, VA), and Kouch Kollective (Charlotte, NC) — have a lot of new updates and surprises for this year’s festival.

Both stages will now feature Danley Sound Labs via the team at The Sound Live (TSL), providing rich sound all weekend. The festival will also feature a pool party for the first time on Saturday (hosted by Keota) as well as late night sets each night at some of the cabins! Zone Drums will even be playing live drums for some of the sets throughout the weekend. Outside of the music updates, there will be more art installations set up throughout the venue to bring this magical patch of land to life at night. The amount of live dancers and performers for each set will also increase this year.

As we highlighted last year, one thing that separates Autumn Revival from a lot of other festivals is the opportunity to learn something new via several workshops that are available throughout the weekend. This year, there will be even more workshops to tap into, including three music production workshops: 5AM and Zone Drums will cover “Live Elements in Bass Music”; BackLeft will go over “How To Write Music Fast”; and Sol Good will be offering a “Bass Music Theory” workshop. Check out the full list below!

Ahead of this year’s Fall gathering, we wanted to shine the spotlight on eight artists you need to check out if you’re attending the festival!

Chee

May, 2024 marked the 10-year anniversary of the Chee project. An artist that we have thoroughly enjoyed covering here at Heard It Here First, Chee embarked on his first-ever national headlining tour earlier this summer called The Blank Slate Tour. The tour pays homage to the many sounds and styles that Chee has given fans over the years while simultaneously providing a glimpse into the near future of what’s to come. We are beyond stoked that Chee is gracing Autumn Revival with his presence and can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us during his Saturday headlining set.

Resonant Language

With each live performance, Resonant Language continues to defy the laws of what’s possible in bass music. His recent direct support set at the Orion Amphitheater for Tipper & Friends left attendees speechless, filled with brand new IDs, VIPs and more unexpected thrills. Before that, he lit up the UFO Mainstage at Sound Haven last month on the final night of the festival. You really never know what you’re going to get in a Resonant Language set. His Friday headlining set at Autumn Revival is sure to provide more unbelievable moments and we can’t wait to hear what he hits us with next!

VCTRE

Speaking of sound design beasts, look no further than the wizardry of VCTRE! His ability to seamlessly blend emotive sounds through a mix of genres has dazzled audiences all across the country, including Sound Haven, Red Rocks for Deadbeats X, Nocturnal Nights in Alabama for the Orion TnF Afters, and more. We haven’t stopped bumping his sophomore album East Kings Point since it dropped towards the end of last year. He also just dropped a brand new collab with EAZYBAKED today on Memory Palace Records. Expect to hear brand new, crispy VCTRE tunes on the Danley’s in a couple weeks at Autumn Revival!

Yoko

HIHF guest mix alum Yoko has had an incredible 2024 and we can’t wait to see what she brings to her Autumn Revival set in a couple weeks. Although originally from Tacoma, Washington, the esteemed produced has sculpted her sound from the influences of the Colorado underground scene. Yoko is focused on delivering unique, heavy bass music that is never bound to any particular genre. She made her Red Rocks debut earlier this year as part of Mersiv’s “Journey 2 Mars” event, and will have also checked off Infrasound and Big Fam once the year has concluded. Yoko also started the year off by dropping her sophomore album, Wake The Dreamer. Don’t miss one of our favorites make her Autumn Revival debut in a couple weeks!

Somatoast

One of the more musically-gifted names on the lineup, Somatoast is a multi-instrumentalist that takes listeners on a journey through a stunning combination of jazz-hop beats, downtempo, funky finds and eclectic sounds. He has performed at unique events such as Submersion Festival, Infrasound, Tenorless’ Hypnotic Theatre in Asheville, Cirque de Surreal with Spoonbill in Brooklyn, as well as his own Asheville headliner a couple weeks ago with Papa Bear on visuals. Expect a beautiful journey through sound and styles for Somatoast’s first time at Autumn Revival!

Flintwick

Autumn Revival is in for a real treat with the sounds of Flintwick. Self-described as “Funky glitch-slip with some tings and tangs”, Flintwick has performed at some recent, insane events. This includes opening the Sunday Night Orion Afters recently for BoggDogg (Drrtywulvz x BogTrotter) and the debut b2b between Supertask and Bricksquash. He also threw down an epic set at Balance Music Festival in Iowa. Flintwick will also be playing at Infrasound Equinox, Astronox Music & Arts Gathering, and Applecross Music Festival later this Fall. We can’t wait to hear the versatile sounds of Flintwick in a couple weeks at Autumn Revival!

Air Castles

Hailing from the shores of Virginia Beach, VA is femme-identifying experimental bass artist, Air Castles. She threw down an incredible set at Sound Haven last month, and has also performed with big names such as Lab Group and Autumn Revival headliner, Chee. She will also be performing with the legend, EPROM, next month in Richmond, VA. Air Castles has also released a steady cadence of music this year, including her February EP titled clearing. Expect to hear more new music from this rising talent at Autumn Revival in a couple weeks!

Togeki

The brilliance of Washington, D.C.-based Togeki behind the decks cannot be overstated. The energy he brings to each set leaves attendees wondering what just happened, seamlessly weaving through the sounds of dubstep/140. drum & bass, UKG and more. You might also hear a cheeky double or two, or five, or many! Earlier this summer, Togeki opened up the UFO Mainstage at Sound Haven for the first time with a dazzling performance. He also headlined the Kouch Kollective takeover in St. Petersburg, FL for the Drrtywulvz show earlier this year, and he also had one of the more insane direct support sets at Flash, D.C. right before Caspa. Get ready to dance your shoes off during Togeki’s set at Autumn Revival!
