New York native and HIHF guest mix alumni NURKO, is a rising electronic producer well-known for his ability to harness raw emotion and transfer its power into emotionally charged electronic sound. His distinct stylings span a multitude of sub-genres, ranging from future bass and progressive house to melodic dubstep. NURKO’s unique styles have earned him collaborations with names Adventure Club, Said The Sky, and Gryffin. Previously, he has toured alongside ILLENIUM, Adventure Club, Dabin, and Virtual Riot, and played at major festivals like Beyond Wonderland, Escape Halloween, Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, and Countdown. For those fans of melodic electronic music with a modern edge, NURKO is an artist you absolutely must keep an eye and ear on.

 “I wrote Take Your Light to be a voice of encouragement for my fans, and myself. So often when we go through loss, or hard things in life, we are told “don’t cry, just keep going”, but in truth it’s good for us to cry. It’s been scientifically proven that letting out our tears releases cortisol, and the act of crying itself may also trigger a decrease in cortisol production and other stress-related hormones and substances in the body. The most important thing is you don’t let that sadness take you out. It’s good to feel the pain, feel the fear, fail the test, and then get up and move through it armed with new revelations and lessons. The hardest things I have been through in my own life, I made it through by telling myself, “the fastest way out is THROUGH”. Sometimes we have to dive deep into the pain to understand what it’s telling us, but we must never let it extinguish the light we were born to bring to this earth. Working with Jack (Nurko) on this one was total synergy. After our first collaboration, “Retraced” came out in July, we loved working together so much that it was seamless to just make another one together. I had this song completely written, and I knew that he would understand where it needed to go. I absolutely love how it came out, and I hope it encourages both our fans around the world.” – HALIENE
