Get ready to dive into the latest tracks from emerging dubstep artist TrebleTina, whose electrifying sound is quickly making waves in the electronic music scene. Her new releases, The Beholder and Till I’m Dead, both out through Circus Records, blend pulsating beats, infectious grooves, and high-energy vibes, showcasing her signature style that’s sure to ensnare any listener into her percussive web. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering her work, these tracks from TrebleTina are a must-listen for anyone who craves fresh, bold beats.
The rising Orlando-based producer has quickly been making waves with her boundary-pushing releases and passion for promoting more diverse inclusion in the electronic music scene. Back in 2022, TrebleTina joined us for our HIHF Guest Mix Series, leaving us with a brutal mix we won’t soon forget. TrebleTina created her own personal brand, Shades of Bass, as a tool to support diverse artists across the electronic spectrum. They also host a fire radio station on Soundcloud. Despite it being early in her career, TrebleTina’s production prowess has earned her recent features not just with HIHF, but with Cosmic Acadamy and Jeanie’s GRL Gang.
The first of her two releases through the legendary Circus Records, “The Beholder” channels TrebleTina’s teenage struggle to find acceptance in an unaccepting world fused with her production ingenuity to craft an empowering barrage of bass, reminding us of the importance of embracing our inner beauty. “The Beholder” utilizes electrifying synths and varying degrees of punching reverb to sink its teeth deep under our skin.
Here’s what TrebleTina had to say about the first of her two-track Circus Records two-track release, “The Beholder”:
“The inspiration behind The Beholder began when I was 16 and I discovered a vintage shirt with the words: ‘Beauty lies in the ears of the beholder.’ As a black woman who often faced criticism for my diverse music tastes, the message resonated deeply and became a guiding philosophy throughout my creative journey. The quote has been in my social media bios since the inception of my project. It captures the complexity of what music means to me and is a constant reminder to embrace my individuality. I always knew I wanted to channel that energy into music that authentically represents who I am.”
TrebleTina’s second track, “Till I’m Dead”, enlists the talents of fellow Circus Records bass maven MOLLYWATER. The pair of powerhouse producers unleash their full arsenal of percussive tools to turn “Till I’m Dead” into an irresistible sonic odyssey. This track’s climax hurtles listeners into an unrelenting world reverb guided by the lyrics “crown on my head, slinging bass till I’m dead”.
“The two tracks, The Beholder and Til I’m Dead, embody a powerful message to those who don’t conform to societal expectations. Music is subjective, and these songs are a reminder to ignore criticism, embrace your uniqueness, and remain true to yourself. Diversity is beautiful, and everyone’s journey deserves to be celebrated. Through these tracks, I seek to inspire and empower listeners to become the beholders of their own definitions of beauty and artistry, reclaiming ownership of their creative identity.”
Each of TrebleTina’s latest tracks is an instant noxious addition to any bass lover’s playlist. Don’t be surprised if you hear both of these tracks getting a proper rinse as the festival season starts up again.
