GRiZ returns with his highly anticipated new single “Chaos Theory”, a first-ever collaboration with dubstep powerhouse Wooli.

The new track continues GRiZ’s powerful momentum after his ‘Gemini EP’ release and announcements of upcoming huge performances. Following his hiatus from the touring electronic music world, GRiZ announced the already sold-out Seven Stars Festival this October in Virginia, and then announced two of his “Re:Connect” arena shows, coming up late October and early November in Chicago, Illinois, and Daly City, California.

For the past year, Wooli’s live sets have teased “Chaos Theory,” which features a custom vocal from acclaimed voice actor Boris Hiestand. GRiZ and Wooli commissioned Hiestand, known for his work on Overwatch and Assassin’s Creed, to record an original vocal for this release, reflecting their shared vision for immersive storytelling through sound. Blending GRiZ’s signature melodic funk and Wooli’s seismic bass sound design, “Chaos Theory” is a high-impact, cinematic single that bridges their fan bases and pushes boundaries. You are going to be hearing a lot of this track come festival season!

The multi-talented GRiZ has cultivated a fun, energetic style of bass music, standing out in the genre by incorporating saxophone into his productions. With his memorable live performances, reflective nature, and fun-loving attitude, he’s created an experience that has built a dedicated fan base. GRiZ is never afraid to switch from upbeat future funk to low-tempo glitch-hop, dive into the heavier-leaning side of bass music, and even four-on-the-floor or disco. He seamlessly moves through different genres while showcasing his signature sound.

In March of 2025, after an extended hiatus, GRiZ’s return quickly went viral, and his Seven Stars Festival sold out in minutes. The fest will feature GRiZ’s first live performances in two years, alongside sets from iconic acts such as Subtronics, Hamdi, Levity, Disco Lines, and over sixty other artists. GRiZ also dropped the surprise GEMiNI EP, a sonic foreshadowing for the future of his project featuring four tracks, one in collaboration with Grabbitz.

Wooli’s massive discography blends icy compositions with fiery drops, and his prehistoric mark captures millions of listeners through immersive performances and heavy bass.

He’s also collaborated with popular vocalists and other heavy-hitting producers like GRiZ, Excision, Subtronics, Illenium, Svdden Death, Tape B, Flux Pavilion, and Seven Lions, showing off his multifaceted sound that can range from emotional and melodic to heavy and aggressive.

Wooli’s monumental performances draw huge crowds at festivals like EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Music Festival, Lollapalooza, and more. Wooli has successfully sold out iconic venues such as Red Rocks, The Torch Los Angeles, Echostage, and more as his touring career continues to expand worldwide. We can’t wait to catch him at GRiZ’s Seven Stars festival!
