Having previously made the announcement on Twitter in October, Jaden Smith is back with his highly anticipated new album.
Will and Jada’s son has absolutely blown up in the rap world in 2018. Between dropping his debut project Syre in July, appearing on both Tyler the Creator and Young Thug‘s most recent albums, and playing festival spots around the world, the public perception of Jaden Smith in 2018 is a lot different than in 2016, when he was seen as an existential child-celeb obsessed with asking the world’s worst questions via Twitter.
Since then, Jaden has become one of the most well respected, polite, and innovative musicians in not just hip-hop, but the entire industry. That’s a pretty damn big turn around if you ask me.
Check out his new album here, titled The Sunset Tapes: A Cool Tape Story. The new album is all Jaden, no features, and is absolutely fire. This kid is doing big things, let’s hope he keeps it up. Enjoy!
