Louis the Child is a Chicago EDM duo who have been genre blending and rocking venues a lot these past few years. Their most recent EP rocked nine tracks and multiple features including Big Gigantic, Nombe, Elohim, RAYE, MAX, and Wafia. Kids at Play EP was originally released in October 2018. Now, 5 months later, Louis the Child has delivered a remix package featuring some recognizable artists as well as some fresh new names. These nine remixes cover only a few of the songs from the original project but are all unique in sound.
Included are 3 remixes for “Breaking News,” one from Westend with a House/club feel, another from Duke & Jones featuring some sick Trap flutes, and a third from Embody who made it into a dancier, shuffle track. The remixes also included 2 for “LOVE” featuring Elohim from Christofi & TAILS respectively, plus Manic Focus‘ remix of “Dear Sense” featuring MAX, and one from Win and Woo for “Save Me From Myself” featuring NoMBe and Big Gigantic. The final 2 tracks are my personal favorites. Party Pupils’ Remix of “The City” featuring Quinn XCII is both fun and funky as well as msft‘s remix of “Space Jam“, which takes the song from the lighter side to a quickened, heavy Trap and Bass tune.
No matter which tracks you loved off the original EP, you’re guaranteed to find some new favorites in this remix pack. Take a listen below!
