Today, German dubstep-riddim king Virtual Riot (Christian Valentin Brunn) released his EP, Save Yourself, out now via Disciple. It features eight experimental, bass-heavy tracks, some of which have been previously released over the past two weeks. The EP emphasizes his versatility in both music production—having dabbled in most sub-genres—and his fondness for sound design.

Most recently, Virtual Riot dropped a collab “Das Riddim” with Infekt, an eerie track with a nasty bass drop. He also threw down an epic set at Tomorrowland Festival in Belgium.

My personal favorite track from the new EP is “Hysteria”. It starts off slow and melodic, and its extended buildup anticipates the huge drop series to come, each one filthier than the last.
