It seems as if there is nothing that electropop young gun Adam Kahati cannot do: multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and, most impressively, curator of our very own Heard It Here First’s fresh, new pregame mix.

Pairing with another fresh face in the scene, Gabi Sklar, the new release titled “Tell Me” blends Top 40 sensibilities with electronic ideals: the palatable guitar loop underpins a versatile utilization of trap percussion and sweeping synths on a groovy and radio-ready hook. Kahati’s latest track masterfully straddles genre lines, perhaps aspiring to sounds alike globally renowned electronic duo The Chainsmokers, and Sklar’s heavenly vocal performance only admonishes an already impressive pop release.

Although short on experience, Kahati has found quick success in the DMV and abroad – he has made a name for himself at clubs and festivals alike including Firefly Music Festival, Abroadfest Barcelona, and DC’s Echostage alongside artists such as Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Matoma, and Two Friends.

Given the quick nature of his releases thus far, we’ll be sure to hear from our local sweetheart again soon. Check out our recent interview with Kahati, and let us know what you think of the latest release permeating the DMV electronic scene in the comments!
