Today, Sullivan King (Keaton Prescott) dropped a remix of Kayzo‘s track “Alone” featuring Our Last Night, out now via Ultra Records. He has been playing this remix for months and thus its release was highly anticipated. “Alone” served as the lead single off of Kayzo’s sophomore album, Unleashed, and is the first track on the album.
Sullivan King uses a unique combination of dance music and metal in his tracks, not to mention his iconic voice that can be heard in collaborations with many bass music artists like Excision, Snails, Bear Grillz, Kai Wachi and others. He is also notable for his production style that has gained him a loyal fanbase over the years. In 2019, he released his highly-anticipated debut album Show Some Teeth which featured collaborations with TYNAN, Kompany, and more.
The “Alone” remix starts the same as the original, but the first drop takes a heavy bass route rather than the more instrumental direction Kayzo initially took. The final drop, however, incorporates Sully’s signature metal sound with intense guitar, drums, and screams. Here is what he has to say about the track:
“I’ve known Hayden (Kayzo) for as long as I’ve been in music and having seen what he’s done for our style of music and how he’s helped bring it beyond the EDM vein and into a more mainstream light is so awesome. He and I both come from the same background of music and that’s why I’ve personally had such a connection with his music and sound. I really am just happy to see how this scene of metal/rock and dubstep has progressed so fast, and wanted this remix to just keep propelling that vision I think we both have.” – Sullivan King
Sullivan King and Kayzo have a bunch of material together due in 2020, including a joint remix of “Helena” by My Chemical Romance, but in the meantime, stream the “Alone” remix below!
