After years of teasing with fire singles, remixes, and collaborations, Hex Cougar is finally releasing his debut EP, Under The Light Of A Dying Moon. The LA-based producer is known for his ethereal soundscapes that have a seriously gruesome undertone. You may also recognize him from his mold-breaking remixes of Alison Wonderland, RL Grime, Louis The Child, Virtual Self, or Illenium.

Last year, Hex released “Hourglass” with AWAY and josh pan ahead of the EP, which he’s dubbed the first chapter of a new story. With his history of heaters, if this is just the beginning we are in for a treat. Enveloping josh pan’s dreamy voice, a Middle Eastern flavor, a hip-hop beat, and falling into a gritty baseline the track pushes the boundaries of a handful of genres by combining them. We could go on about the mold-breaking tunes on Under The Light Of A Dying Moon, but you really should just take a listen for yourself.

The new project highlights features from Pauline Herr, Ruby Red, Sarah De Warren, and Luma as well.

Enjoy Hex Cougar’s EP below, we can’t wait to see where he takes this story next!
