Liquid Stranger is far more than just a musician, the man is a true curator. A curator of both sounds and souls, the Wakaan label head has been putting out collaborations with up and comers, supporting underground music, and even helped get smaller bass artists spots on his nationwide tours.

In 2019, Liquid brought us two insane projects, his Polarity EP as well as his full-length, thirty track Infinity LP.

The freeform bass pioneer is back at it again today with yet another epic EP for 2020. His Ascension EP features collaborations with LSDream, Hydraulix, and Luzcid. It also boasts highly anticipated tracks from Liquid that have been staples in his live set for months on end – “Ascension” and “Psychonaut”.

Dropping on Valentine’s Day, Ascension is a loving gesture to the Wakaan label’s increasingly dedicated fan base. The Wakaan label hosted their inaugural Wakaan Music Festival last year on Mulberry Mountain in Ozark, Arkansas, where Liquid played three sets and hosted thousands of die-hard Wakaan’dans.

The festival also featured some of the biggest names in dubstep and bass music, including but certainly not limited to Koan Sound, TRUTH, Subtronics, Space Jesus, Boogie T, Peekaboo, and TYNAN. We had the chance to attend as part of the media team and interviewed Wakaan label favorite G-Rex, you can check that out here.

Liquid’s new Wakaan EP comes right at the start of Liquid’s Ascension tour. The tour is going until early April and features support from Luzcid, Sully, Hydraulix, Inzo, and Dirt Monkey and Shlump on select dates. Not only is his tour set full of brand new bangers from Liquid himself, but he also jam-packs his performance with unreleased heat from all across the Wakaan roster.
