Sippy and Zia just dropped their new collab, “Deviate”, through Deadbeats. Together,  through eccentric sound design, they create this brand new banger featuring a rattling and heavy bassline alongside an infectious vocal hook. The duo recently brought the Deviate Tour across North America this past Winter.

Deadbeats, Zeds Dead’s very own bass label, hosted a takeover on their Instagram yesterday to allow the pair of producers to answer fan questions. During the live stream, Zia and Sippy spoke about life on the road, their new tune, and of course, their “newfound of obsession with each other”.

“The idea behind the vocal…is about choosing your own path. Not going with the ‘normal’ social constructs.”Sippy

Sippy went on to share a personal story of how Bear Grillz convinced her to come to America after he saw her potential as a DJ. She talked about her experience in America, getting to see an Excision show, traveling between Bear Grillz shows, getting to work with him as her mentor, and saying to herself “I can do this…I can really do this”.

Zia took some time to shout-out the Zeds Dead for being so supportive and creative as to allow each of them, and so many other artists, to have opportunities in the music industry.

The pair shared upcoming plans for unreleased music (including new tracks from both Zia and Sippy this week to celebrate International Women’s Day and an upcoming Justin Bieber remix from Sippy). Sippy also noted an extensive catalog of music that she never plans to release, though she plays them during live sets only.

You can catch Sippy during the upcoming Miami music week at Zeds Dead’s and Jauz’s Deadbites, playing a b2b set with Jessica Audiffred. Meanwhile, Zia will next play Okeechobee, EDC Vegas, and Bonnaroo in the upcoming months.
