Valentino Khan is known for pushing the boundaries of his sound and flipping it upon its head. After his debut EP in 2014 and the iconic “Deep Down Low”, Valentino Khan took the world and dance floors by storm. As legendary and recognizable as his sound is, Valentino Khan refuses to be pinned down to one genre, with production credits for Diplo, French Montana, and Lil Pump just to name a few.
Today, following two official remixes for DJ Snake and singles “Blackmail”, “Deathproof”, and “Division”, Valentino takes a deep dive into his influences on his new French Fried EP on Mad Decent. The cleverly named project is an ode to the early years of French electronica and the birth of blog-house. Producing the French Fried EP from a place of profound and nostalgic inspiration, Valentino Khan was introduced to the genre by his brother over a decade ago. The legendary French sound has shaped his work ever since. The mold-breaking EP defies dance music paradigms with explosive drops and cutting-edge sound design. French Fried delivers an epic blend of original European dance music and modern bass.
“This body of work was heavily inspired by my first exposure to dance music. French artists played a huge role in creating sounds that drew me into the genre. When the first wave of this hit America, it impacted me by pushing boundaries in a unique way. I hope to continue that innovative spirit not only with this music, but with all my future releases as well. Enjoy.” – Valentino Khan
