Heard It Here First

Fresh after linking with our friends over at Wubaholics for VLCN x BCON – “STFU,” this weekend the adept and down-to-earth bcon is celebrating five hundred followers with a late night heater that hits every sweet spot any bass fan could crave!

Smooth like butter, “Ethereal” is bursting with forest sounds, crisp percussion, and icy cold bass. The self-release brings us to somewhere similar to artists like Charlesthefirst, or possibly Of The Trees, or the likes of Labgroup — lush scenery behind a slapping groove, huge sine compression and crunchy sub-bass that makes for a tasty dubplate indeed.

When asked what inspired the track, bcon replied “Charlesthefirst is one of his favorite artists”, and in this project, he aimed to create calming. nature-infused bass. We here at HIHF definitely believe he nailed it!
