NYC producer and illustrator Esseks has been innovating since he appeared on the scene back in 2015 with his debut album, “Bad Cartoons”. His avant-garde production style quickly captivated the electronic music scene and gained the attention of Wakaan boss Liquid Stranger.
Not long after that, Esseks would be one of the first few artists to release under the now-infamous Wakaan label. Countless timeless releases later, Esseks is preparing for something massive.
His new album“The Villian’s Journey” is on the horizon and we couldn’t be more excited. Today, we receive the first glimpse into his new project in the form of a single, out now through Zeds Dead‘s Deadbeats label, another home for weird and wonderful bass music. “Watching from a Distance”, displays everything we love about Esseks in excess. Psychadelic and hypnotic, this tune turns the vibe up to eleven while maintaining the style which we have come to adore from the Brooklyn native.
“It’s a small piece of a bigger picture.” -Esseks
We can’t wait for what’s next from “The Villain’s Journey”. Keep an ear/eye out for new heat from Esseks soon and let us know what you thought of “Watching from a Distance” below in the comments!
