Last month, during James Ivy’sSecret Sky set, I was thinking about how much I’ve missed music-you-can-yell-to in my life. Then along came San Holo and Chet Porter’s “you’ve changed, i’ve changed.”
This raw, Indie-influenced ballad feels full circle with a feature from Chet Porter. The fierce producer, singer, songwriter, and musician was featured on San Holo’s album1 tour where he eventually would remove himself to take care of his mental health, something we will always wholeheartedly support. Following his nostalgic, feelsy installment with Alison Wonderland “Bummed,” “you’ve changed, i’ve changed” is an authentic evolution of his sound. I’m looking forward to more Chet vocals in the future!
The track is the second release from San Holo’s sophomore album bbuok?, originally set to release today. Following some technical difficulties, the Bitbird owner and curator has now set the project to come out on June 4th. After vibrant releases with Chet and Bipolar Sunshine, I am looking forward to seeing what ^% the collaborations with Mija, Mr. Carmack, the Nicholas, and Rivers Cuomo of Weezer will bring.
Out now on Bitbird, you can listen to San Holo and Chet Porter’s “you’ve changed, i’ve changed” below. The tune even got a shoutout of support from Kid Cudi! Be sure to check out the lyric video for some top-tier post-EDM Indie vibes.
