Portland native Quinn Brown, also known as QUIET BISON, is an influential visionary who continues to generate abstract waves within the future realm of electronic music.
Blending delicate water patterns with untamed fire, his magnetic flow is remarkably untouchable. Reinforced by a whirlwind of high-pressure synthesizers and colossal swells of future bass elements, his experimental sound design fabricates a stance of dance music that has never been seen before. QUIET BISON is a musical alchemist and continues to gain positive recognition throughout the scene with every new tune he unleashes.
The influential visionary has released three solid EPs, all intricately outlined and uniquely assembled. His already impressive catalog has received praise from Skrillex, Flume, and Alison Wonderland, as well as tastemakers such as Billboard Dance, Future Classic, and Dancing Astronaut, just to name a few. His alluringly monumental remix to What So Not and Herizen‘s “We Can Be Friends” was, and still is, heavily rinsed throughout live shows and music festivals across the world.
Breaking silence after a solid eight months, QUIET BISON continues to showcase his universal talent with the sophomore single distributed from his debut album, Dawn. “Waiting For You” delivers a spectral range of glitchy-cut god rays, intensified with resilient lead vocals from wilo wilde. QUIET BISON and wilo wilde exhibit their independence on this track and remind us that we can obtain warmth from unwanted feelings and desires.
“After speaking about this with wilo I wanted to turn her feelings towards her lyrical content and make it sound really vibrant and interesting. It took some months perfecting this one with everyone involved but I’m really glad we were patient and kept with it because I’m really happy with it.” – QUIET BISON
“This song was inspired by a time when I was chasing a feeling that I got by being with this person. I eventually realized that the feelings weren’t reciprocated. I was pretty hurt by it but then I realized that I don’t need to wait around and that there is someone out there who will appreciate me exactly for who I am.” – wilo wilde
