Bass artist and Vibey Desert co-founder LYQD is back with a new collaboration, “Lessons from a Peasant”,  with sinister rap lyrics provided by Jordan Hill. This new single marks the beginning of big things from Jordan Hill, as he embarks under a new alias and artistic journey with a more rap and spoken word path. Both artists are fresh off of massive set’s from this year’s Vibey Desert Festival, blessing the ears of all attendees with new music and an incredible listening experience.

This track lines up with LYQD‘s downtempo bass vibes, complemented by the unassuming and self-effacing rap vocals from Jordan Hill. It tells the all too familiar story of the plight of the peasant, appreciating the difficult journey given and learning to go with the flow. Jordan spits some hard bars, using flow and poetry to paint a vivid lyrical masterpiece. The release comes along with a complimentary lyric video that you can check out below to help absorb the lyrical artistry:

LYQD creates the ominous ambiance of this track with low ticks to start off before the assertive, slow and steady bass kicks in. The flow of both the beat and the lyrics melt together with perfection, reminiscent of the drip of cold ice cream on a hot summer day. With stylistic production elements similar to those of hawk. and Supertask, and reminiscent of the latter’s collaboration with Finnoh (fka Ill Chill), this pair will sure to be ones to watch in the future.

We can’t wait to see what big things the two up-and-comers will get into! Let us know your thoughts on the new track in the comments below and we hope you enjoyed “Lessons From A Peasant” as much as we did!
