New sound, new Shadient! The first track off Shadient’s debut album “Ego Insaniac” unveils a more personal and alluring side of his music.
The England-based artist has been producing for ten years, pushing boundaries in the electronic world. Shadient released his latest EP, “Infinite Structure”, last year with three tracks also released on SLANDER and NGHTMRE‘s record label Gud Vibrations. Using his own visuals and own vocals, Shadient continues to surprise us with his creativity and genre-defying talent. He opened up for SLANDER during their Eye Tour last year and also played a set for Porter Robinson’s 2020 curated virtual music festival Secret Sky. The origin of the name Shadient came in 2015, where he described it as a world of ideas he had rushing into his head of metallic and industrial imagery, dark visual aspects noise, and bass leaning music. Keep an eye out for more of his new music off his upcoming debut album Have You No Burden!
“Ego Insaniac” starts with an eerie introduction that has your mind visualizing a mysterious path that you must follow and explore until you reach it’s bitter end. It is a chilling, edgy, dark, and seductive effort that leaves you wanting more of his music, making it a great tease to his upcoming album.
His own vocals also help add a strong sense of raw emotion to the song. The feelings portrayed include loneliness, losing yourself, and finding an escape. This new side of Shadient is a great representation of his continuous diverse talent, especially with his thought-provoking visuals added to the lyric video. “Ego Insaniac” is the start of the real Shadient that we have been patiently waiting for.
