Hailing from Los Angeles, SLANDER represents two powerhouse producers, Derek and Scott. The duo has made quite the impression on the music scene since their commencement in 2014. They have dominated the stages of reputable festivals including EDC, Nocturnal Wonderland, Electric Zoo, and Ultra Music Festival to name a few. On top of that, they just announced their own festival, Starbase, which features Big Gigantic, Alison Wonderland, NGHTMRE, and tons of other huge names. They have garnered massive success, attributed to their eccentric bass sound, mixed with emotional, pop-fuelled lyricism.

Subtronics emerged on the heavy bass scene in 2014 and has exploded ever since with his wide array of releases and massive Cyclops Army fanbase. Subtronics offers a distinctive production of hard-hitting dubstep that continually impresses his producing peers and fan base. He has brought his infectious energy and stage presence to a myriad of festivals including Electric Zoo, Camp Bisco, Lost Lands, Big Dub, Bass Canyon, Elements, and many more, slowly but surely carving his name in as one of the biggest names in Dubstep in 2021.

Today, SLANDER and Subtronics are combining their production forces to serve us up their latest single “Gravity”. We are greeted with the delicate vocals of singer/songwriter JT Roach, who’s worked with SLANDER in the past on tunes like “Potions” and “Better Than Heaven”. The lyrics capture the emotion of finding it impossible to move on from a once-in-a-lifetime love. The tranquil piano keys paired with the soft sounds of a guitar compliment the raw emotion of the ever-impressive vocalist. The build-up incorporates orchestral flavor that leads into a blunt and brutal drop, with the blatant sounds of Subtronics signature Riddim-style dubstep at the forefront. SLANDER and Subtronics played a b2b set at Forbidden Kingdom Festival where they premiered this smash-to-be just a few months back.

We are loving this emotional banger from these two dance music superstars. How does SLANDER and Subtronics latest anthem make you feel? Let us know in the comments as well as on our Heard It Here First socials!
