As summer fades into the new season, trap music remains alive in full force. The Sable Valley Institute has accepted a brand-new, all-star lineup of residents for their second installment of the “Sable Valley Summer” compilation series.
RL Grime’s Sable Valley has engineered some of the best trap releases to date, including some of our favorite trap-influential artists like capshun, Rossy, and Colson XL. The exclusive label uses waves of synths and depths of bass to gracefully transport each listener into a void of beautiful chaos. It’s so exciting to see RL use this platform as a safe space for up-and-coming artists.
On top of the community’s second summer compilation, RL Grime has announced his Community Outreach tour, including direct support from a squad of Sable Valley tenants. He has ISOxo, JAWNS, Juelz, Knock2, What So Not, Montell2099, Pauline Herr, and Rossy joining him across the states to light up each curated destination with rage.
Last week, Sable Valley assembled a plethora of boundary-pushing phenomena for a release of fourteen tracks to individually pierce the eardrum. Some of the residents are new to the Sable Valley Institue, while others reside here for their second year in a row. The compilation features RL Grime, Montell2099, Cozway, Rossy, DJ Ride, X&G, Rohaan, HELLBOUND!, Frequencerz, Deadcrow, Jon Casey, CAB, Control Freak, capshun, Lizdek, SADRN, Pauline Herr, and Sorsari. Each track is crisp and clean but nasty and dirty at the same time. There is no constraint or threshold big enough to contain these artists. You definitely want to run the tape from start to finish on this one.
