Heard It Here First

GRL GANG is back at it again, here to help you ring in the holidays with “Wreck the Halls, Vol. 2“. This compilation includes works from some incredibly talented women. GRL GANG is a collective built on the pillars of supporting and uplifting women in the dance music industry. Their message and impact are far-reaching, supporting both women young and old, across a range of communities across the globe. This compilation is a beautiful arrangement of genres from dubstep and bass to more house and dancy vibes.

The founder of GRL GANG, JEANIE, speaks to the sentiment of this release:

“I’m so excited to be releasing our newest Wreck The Halls compilation showcasing some incredibly talented women in dance music. The release is so diverse and has something for just about everyone. I hope everyone enjoys these tracks as much as I do and finds a new favorite artist along the way” – JEANIE

This powerful pack includes Kenzie Black, a Hispanic-American producer whose upbeat track “Need You” brings some housey four on the floor sounds to start things off. REMETI continues on the house trend with her song “Shiver“.  Being a new style for this Canadian artist, we are excited to watch her flourish in this new endeavor. Things then take a downtempo, feels-y turn when Shmell puts us in our emotions with “Dead Inside“. This is her second return to this collection and it’s no surprise as her euphonic melodies effortlessly grace this gifted group.

Next up, we have Dxstinie with her track “Toxicant“, an infectious tune that starts off dancey then drops down into the dirtiest of wubs. At the tender age of thirteen, this talented young lady is tearing it up with big things in store for her future. Then AK Renny picks back up with a dancey sound, as her track “Hold You Now” inspires ample toe-tapping and head bobbing.

Wrapping things up we have ENTITY with “When You’re Gone” , a future bass-inspired bop that includes a healthy dose of expertly crafted bass sounds complemented by glittering lyrics. AIXI ties the bow on this beautiful gift of releases with her track “Black Gold” feat. STILLONIT. This last one goes out with a bang as AIXI delivers a powerful bassline sure to rattle the ornaments on your tree. We are so proud of this brilliant group of artists and can’t wait to wreck the halls right along with them!
