Two of the hottest acts in bass music nowadays hail from Tokyo, Japan — Herbalistek and Allen Mock. Both Herbalistek and Allen Mock are artists we are huge fans of at HIHF and we are ecstatic to be teaming up with them for a brand new HIHF premiere. Today, they return in the form of their brand new Lost Tapes EP.
The two frequent collaborators made these tracks a few years ago and decided to give them out for free. We had the opportunity to premiere “Fluctuate” off the Lost Tapes EP and it is an absolute BOP!
Allen Mock is well known for his hybrid production style and for his smash single “Phantom”, alongside Chow Chow. The massive festival banger has been played by some of the biggest artists in bass music like Nitti Gritti, ATLiens, Eliminate, on top of loads more. He also recently had another huge career accolade, releasing on Jauz‘s Bite This label for his filthy new Stamina EP.
Herbalistek has found success releasing on huge labels like Quality Goods, Wubaholics, and LoFreq records. They’ve released heaters in the past, collaborating alongside Allen Mock multiple times as well as fellow talented producers like SuperAve and Oski.
Today, the two Japanese powerhouse acts collide for another thrill ride of a collaboration. “Fluctuate.” Containing aspects of both bass and hybrid trap stylings, this new banger is the perfect addition to both artists’ quickly growing artillery of fire tunes. Fueled by perforating glitches and brutal kick drums, expect to hear “Fluctuate” played out plenty once the festival season properly hits. Do some face stretches before listening because we don’t want this to leave you with a permanent case of bass face!
What did you think of their new single? Let us know down below in the comments! We hope you like it as much as we did at Heard It Here First.
