Hailing from Orange County, California-based producer lubby has been immersed in music from a young age. After years of cultivating the craft, he is now taking a professional approach to his project, with his track “You Don’t Dance?” marking the second release of 2023. He has had the opportunity to open for shows with Getter and CharlesTheFirst, is involved with Small World Events out of LA, and has a deep connection to Vibey Desert Music Festival out of SoCal (keep an eye out for updates to come on this one!)

For this project, lubby is honing in on the balance between light and dark, something that is reflected in the music he enjoys as well as that which he crafts. We’re excited to hop in the whip and ride along on the journey of this talented young producer!

You Don’t Dance?” proves to be an engaging track – the glittering intro immediately envelops listeners as the beat kicks in to guide their sonic journey. Peppered vocals add layers to the mix before the beat breaks down into a complex, contrasting bassline, filled with stylistic accents aplenty. As a whole, it has depth yet danceability, the marker of memorable work. It very much reflects lubby’s goals of balancing cinematic intros with darker, more aggressive drops. The track is further complimented with artwork by the talented Claire Stelzer.

We can’t wait to follow along on lubby’s musical journey and see what’s next for this up-and-coming producer! What did you think? Let us know down below in the comments!
