Heard It Here First

A rising star in the world of melodic bass music, Ace Aura is back once again with The Voicians for a fiery and wild throwdown of a track titled “Umbra” out now through the esteemed label Monstercat.

He has worked closely with Subtronics, including opening for his Red Rocks debut last year, as well as releasing collabs with Dr. Ozi and Trinergy. The young producer has drawn support from such industry legends as Zomboy and Zeds Dead, rapidly rising to prominence for his intricate and distinctive sound design, as well as the heavy but melodic nature of his music. Growing up in Texas, Ace Aura grew to be a passionate Christian at a young age, and his faith has influenced his music heavily ever since he started producing EDM in 2012. When asked to comment on the tune, Ace Aura had this to say:

“I’m so glad to finally have this track wrapped up and release it for the world to hear after so long! Huge shoutout to Voicians for being able to work so quickly and absolutely killing the vocals!”

The track begins with that ‘color bass’ styled xylophone notes and warm synth lines, leading quickly into clean vocals from the Voicians. The lyrics are laden with emotion, layering over the building synthesizers in the background and leading up to the drop. The tension builds as the drums cut in, and the ensuing drop retains that beautiful, chord-driven style that Ace Aura has become well known for.

All of this is being propelled by aggressive drums and growling basslines, which undercut the colorful synth stabs layered over top. The vocal hook cuts back in, weaving throughout the track as it creates an elaborate and beautiful weave of sound, constantly backed by the energy and aggression that has allowed Ace Aura to gain his position in the hearts and minds of melodic bass music fans across the world.

As the track fades out, the beauty and upbeat energy of the “Umbra” remains, reminding us all, once again, of why Ace Aura is an artist to keep your eyes on. Watch out for his future releases, and keep your eye on festival lineups for this melodic bass prodigy!
